Commissioning mode defaults determine whether DeltaV Device Commissioner
performs specific parts of the device commissioning process automatically. You
can enable or disable the following commissioning mode defaults in an
auto-commissioning policy:
- Allow modification of
commissioning mode defaults in DeltaV Device Commissioner. Unless you select
this default, you must use I/O Studio to modify commissioning mode defaults.
- Automatic sensing of HART
devices. This default determines whether DeltaV Device Commissioner senses all
HART devices or only HART devices that have been added since the last time it
sensed devices. It also determines whether sensing happens only once or
periodically. If you choose periodic sensing, you can choose from several
predetermined time intervals or specify a custom time interval.
- Automatic binding of sensed
HART devices.
- Automatic configuration of
bound HART devices.
- Automatic testing of HART
devices.
