Preferences for auto-commissioning policies determine the behavior of
the DeltaV Device Commissioner at a high level.
The following are the preferences you select for an auto-commissioning
policy, which determine how DeltaV Device Commissioner behaves in commissioning
devices:
- Enable or disable the
policy.
- Source of Device Signal Tags
(DSTs)
- Field Device--My
field devices are pre-configured with DSTs.
- CHARM--I have
configured my CHARMs with DSTs.
- Field Device and
CHARM--My field devices are pre-configured with DSTs and I have
pre-configured my CHARMs with corresponding DSTs.
- Enable or disable AMS
Configuration from within DeltaV Device Commissioner. If you disable AMS
Configuration, the Configuration phase will not appear as part of the
commissioning process in DeltaV Device Commissioner.
- Enable or disable loop
testing of HART devices from within DeltaV Device Commissioner. If you disable
loop testing, the Test phase will not appear as part of the commissioning
process in DeltaV Device Commissioner.
- Enable or disable automatic
downloading of control modules that reference HART devices.
