HART device configuration is available for a device placeholder under Device Definition if the I/O Interface property is set to HART or Wireless HART. HART device configuration consists of the following properties:
When the Manufacturer, Model, and Revision are defined, I/O Studio adds a Device Alerts configuration card for the device placeholder. For SIS devices, the Device Alerts configuration card also includes a Proof Test Alerts section.
You can configure Device Alerts settings in either DeltaV Explorer or I/O Studio. All HART configuration for device placeholders, including settings for Device Alerts, are preserved when you allocate the device placeholder to an I/O connection path.
If you change the device definition of a device placeholder, all Device Alerts settings are reset to default values.
