In DeltaV Explorer, you can import and export device masters and device configuration templates to FHX files for use on other DeltaV systems. The process is similar to that for importing and exporting HART device templates.
If you import a master or template with the same name as an existing
master or template of a different type, I/O Studio overwrites the existing
master or template. Consumers of the overwritten master or template will have
their association with the overwritten master or template broken. Those
consumers will display the incompatible icon
. You will be unable to
re-apply the new, incompatible master or template to those consumers.
