To rename an I/O device placeholder in I/O Studio, select the device and type the new name in the Device Tag field.
To delete an I/O device placeholder in I/O Studio, right-click the device and select Delete.
Renamed device placeholders retain all their other configured properties. Deleted device placeholders are removed from the system. If a deleted device placeholder was referenced in a control module, it becomes an unassigned I/O reference.
