Alarm List and Control Actions region

This region includes two panes; the Alarm List pane and the Control Actions pane. The panes can be pinned or hidden. The Control Actions List is hidden by default. Use the slider bar to change the size of the list pane.

The Alarm List presents detailed information about each alarm icon from the timeline view, similar to the information presented in the classic DeltaV Alarm List. Alarms are sorted by time with the newest alarms at the top. When a sub-item is selected in the Characteristic Filter region, The Alarm List scrolls to the newest highlighted alarm. You may need to scroll to see other selected alarms.

In the Alarm List, use the Ctrl key to select multiple alarms. When an alarm is selected, that alarm is highlighted in the Timeline Chart. Use the right-click context menu on a selected alarm to perform the following actions:

You can also click on the alarm icon in the Ack column to acknowledge the alarm. To deselect an alarm, click anywhere on the chart (other an alarm icon).
It is possible to add, remove and reorder columns in the alarm list.

The Control Actions list presents detailed event information about each alarm icon from the timeline view, similar to the Event view in Process History View. Event data is retrieved from the Event Chronicle Server and only eligible operator events (operator DOWNLOAD and CHANGE events) for the user's span of control are displayed in this list.

When a sub-item is selected in the Characteristic Filter region, the highlighted events are always sorted together so that the operator can quickly identify the cause of the alarms. It is possible to reorder columns in the control actions list.

In order for the application to capture events correctly, certain settings must be in place.
