The batch redundancy server

The Batch Redundancy Server facilitates interactions between any redundancy aware batch applications and the redundancy subsystem. The Batch Redundancy Server is also responsible for the synchronization activities required to accomplish redundant batch functionality. Therefore, the Batch Redundancy Server on the active attempts to be in communication with the Batch Redundancy Server on the standby at all times.

The Batch Redundancy Server is launched under the DeltaVAdmin account credentials. The Batch Redundancy Server has the following responsibilities:

• Interface to the redundancy subsystem

• Monitor relevant batch processes

• Handle batch data synchronization

• Manage Direct Link and ACN connections

• Manage batch redundancy licensing

• Generate redundancy related events and alerts

• On-line upgrade support for batch components
