Adding a batch
Recipes are added to the Batch List from the Batch Operator Interface. The operator selects the recipe from the list of recipes created in Recipe Studio and assigned to a Batch Executive.
The operator adds a recipe to the Batch List by clicking the Add Batch button and selecting the desired recipe from the list of recipes assigned to the Batch Executive. This opens the Batch Creation dialog. If the Formula Values and Unit Binding sections appear in the dialog, it indicates that this recipe requires the operator to supply additional batch information.
Downloading a new version of a recipe will not affect any batch that is already in the Batch List. Only when new batches are added to the Batch List is the newly designed recipe used. This ensures that a batch completes with a single set of mutually compatible recipes and guarantees you can successfully Warm Start any batch.
The DeltaV batch system does not allow you to change a recipe that will be executed later as part of an existing batch. To have the new recipe take affect, you must first abort the current batch and then create and run a new batch for the remaining part of the original batch.
