The Dual Universal Safety Carrier that houses the LSNG has both primary and secondary Ethernet Isolation Ports (EIP) for the LSN and Modbus connections. You must connect the two Modbus devices to the top ports of each EIP and connect the primary and secondary Local Safety Networks to the bottom ports of each EIP. These ports are not interchangeable. The figure shows the Dual Universal Carrier with Ethernet Isolation Ports installed.

The two Modbus devices must be on separate networks.
