LS CHARM HART two-state output parameters

Table: LS CHARM HART two-state output parameters

Parameter

Can Configure?

Description

COLD_START

No

HART status bit #5.

Indicates if the HART field device went thru a power cycle. The device clears it after the first response.

CONFIG_CHANGED

No

HART status bit #6.

Indicates if a configuration change has been made on the HART field device. On detection the scale and units are uploaded automatically and flag cleared.

DEV_CFG_MISMATCH

No

Indicates if the physically installed device does not match the configured device.

DEV_MALFUNC

No

Set and cleared by tracking Field Device Malfunction (HART status bit #7) from the HART instrument. If the HART instrument detects a malfunction within itself, this parameter is set to True (1).

DV_SLOT0_CODE

Yes

The slot 0 device variable code sent digitally from the CHARM. Defines the HART variable whose data is reported by HART_VAL0.

DV_SLOT1_CODE

Yes

The slot 1 device variable code sent digitally from the CHARM. Defines the HART variable whose data is reported by HART_VAL1.

DV_SLOT2_CODE

Yes

The slot 2 device variable code sent digitally from the CHARM. Defines the HART variable whose data is reported by HART_VAL2.

DV_SLOT3_CODE

Yes

The slot 3 device variable code sent digitally from the CHARM. Defines the HART variable whose data is reported by HART_VAL3.

DV_SLOT_CONFIG

Yes

The mask that determines which HART slots are enabled.

HART_DV_SLOT0

No

The slot 0 device variable value. This value is read digitally.

HART_DV_SLOT1

No

The slot 1 device variable value. This value is read digitally.

HART_DV_SLOT2

No

The slot 2 device variable value. This value is read digitally.

HART_DV_SLOT3

No

The slot 3 device variable value. This value is read digitally.

HART_ERRORS

Yes

Allows the screening of status error messages generated by the transmitter.

HART_PV

No

The Primary Variable returned by the HART transmitter, in engineering units. This value is read digitally.

HART_SV

No

The Secondary Variable returned by the HART transmitter, in engineering units. This value is read digitally.

HART_TV

No

The Tertiary Variable returned by the HART transmitter, in engineering units. This value is read digitally.

HART_FV

No

The Fourth Variable returned by the HART transmitter, in engineering units. This value is read digitally.

HINTEG

No

For HART analog input and output, HINTEG indicates that a HART error is present (0=Good, 1=Bad) even if HART_ERRORS is configured to ignore the error. When HART_ERRORS is configured to ignore one or more HART errors, a corresponding active HART error does not contribute to Bad OINTEG; however, it does contribute to Bad HINTEG. HINTEG is always Bad when OINTEG is Bad.

LONG_TAG

No

The device long tag name for a HART device. The HART device long tag name can have up to 32 characters from the ISO Latin-1 character set.

Note

Device long tag names are not supported for devices implementing the HART Protocol prior to revision 7.

MORE_STATUS

No

HART status bit #4.

Indicates if there are additional details that the devices can return. If this is set use AMS Device Manager or HART handheld device to get additional information.

NO_COMM

No

Set to True (1) if digital communication with the HART instrument has stopped or was never started. If digital communication is successful, this parameter is set to False (0) immediately.

NPV_PAST_LIM

No

Set and cleared by tracking the Non-Primary Variable Out of Limits (HART status bit #1) from a HART instrument. If one of the measured non-Primary Variables is outside its sensor operating limits (high or low), this parameter is set to True (1).

OUT

No

The current value driven to the CHARM, in percent, and the status of the output.

PV_FIXED

No

Set and cleared by tracking the Process Variable Analog Output Fixed (HART status bit #3) from a HART instrument. If the HART device analog output value is fixed to a requested value, this parameter is set to True (1).

PV_PAST_LIM

No

Set and cleared by tracking the Primary Variable Out of Limits (HART status bit #0) from a HART instrument. If the measured Primary Variable is outside the sensor operating limits (high or low), this parameter is set to True (1).

PV_SAT

No

Set and cleared by tracking the Primary Variable Analog Output Saturated (HART status bit #2) from a HART instrument. If the analog output from the HART device is out of range (high or low), this parameter is set to True (1).
