Diagnostic application introduction

Zones network in the diagnostics hierarchy

The zones network contains the Inter-Zone-Server (IZS) and configured zones. Use the context menu commands and parameters associated with the IZS and the configured zones to diagnose problems with the Zones network. (Access the context menu commands by right-clicking a selected item.)

Use the IZS context menu commands to:

Launch Process History View.

Rescan the node.

TCP/IP and Multicast Ping the node.

Check the node integrity and node revision summary.

For redundant Inter-Zone Servers, use the context menu commands to:

Launch Process History View.

TCP/IP and Multicast Ping the node.

From an Inter-Zone-Server's Redundancy subsystem you can use the context menu commands to perform a redundancy switchover.

From an Inter-Zone Server's Communications subsystem you can use the context menu commands to check the integrity of the Inter-Zone Control Network (IZCN) and display the Communication Connection List dialog for the IZS.

Note

Only the Communications subsystem under the IZS can be seen from Remote Operator Stations. Other zones cannot be seen from a Remote Operator Station.
