Provision CHARMs I/O Gateways

I/O Gateways and I/O Blocks are physical devices that enable DeltaV systems to support distributed CHARMs. When an I/O Gateway or I/O Block is connected to the system, it appears in DeltaV Diagnostics as deprovisioned (not functional). You must provision the I/O Gateway or I/O Block to make it functional.

For a CSLS, the distributed gateways folder is under SIS ControllerLocal Safety NetworkCSLSCHARM I/O Gateways.
  2. Select CHARM I/O Gateways and right-click Provision Gateway.
The software displays a list of connected gateways.
  3. Click the check box next to the gateways you want to provision. The interface also enables you to edit the names and descriptions of the gateways.
  4. When you have selected the gateways you want to provision, click Yes.
    Note
