Devices in the offline, mismatch, or spare state must be placed in the
standby state before they can be commissioned.
Navigate to the fieldbus device (System
Configuration/Physical Network/Control
Network/controller/I/O/card/port/Decommissioned Fieldbus Devices).
Right-click the device in the right pane.
Note:
A device in the offline or spare state will have the state name
listed in its detailed view in the right pane. If the detailed view is not
showing, click
View → Details.
If you want to commission a mismatch device, place it in offline or spare, then
place it in standby, then commission it.
Click
Standby.
Note:
The Do Not Wait notice appears. If you click this, the state
change continues in the background, but the notice goes away, enabling you to
do other work.
When the device changes to a Standby Device, it is ready for
commissioning.
