Change a fieldbus device to a spare

  1. Navigate to the device (System Configuration/Physical Network/Control Network/controller/I/O/card/port).
  2. Right-click the device.
  3. Click Decommission.
  4. Click Make Spare.
    Note:
    The Do Not Wait notice appears. If you click this, the state change continues in the background, but the notice goes away, enabling you to do other work.
