Change a parameter's link status and default value

When a parameter is in a linked composite, you can change where the value for that parameter is obtained (either from the composite template or not) and what the default value is.

  1. Select the instance of the composite.
  2. Right-click the parameter.
  3. Select Properties from the context menu.
  4. Select (or unselect) Use Default Value from Composite Template. When selected, the parameter is linked to the composite template and uses the default value configured in the library’s template. When not selected, the parameter’s default value is set for each instance of this module.
  5. Change the value for the parameter.
  6. Click OK to exit and save changes.
This change only affects this instance of the parameter. You can also set from where the default value is obtained at the template level.
