Configure composite template parameter instances

  1. Select the composite template from the DeltaV Library.
    Note:
This function is only available for composite templates in the library.
  2. Right-click the parameter (you can have parameters at the module level as well as at the block level).
  3. Select Configure Instances from the context menu.
  4. In the Default value section, click Modify.
  5. Enter a new default value. This value is used for every instance of this parameter, unless the Use Default Value from Composite Template option is not selected.
  6. In the instances section, select (or unselect) Use Default Value from Composite Template. When selected, the parameter is linked to the composite template and uses the default value configured in the library’s template. When not selected, the parameter’s default value is set for each instance of this module.
    Note:
SHIFT-click selects adjacent items. CTRL-click allows you to select items that are not adjacent.
  7. Click OK and Close to exit the dialogs and save the changes.
You can change an individual instance of a parameter’s linked status and default value.
