The update interval determines how often the workbook is refreshed with data from the process, if it has changed. It does not execute write functions. The update interval is stored in the cell you specify as a named range. The name of the range is DVUpdateInterval.
The Configure Update Interval dialog allows you to specify the cell location of DVUpdateInterval and the interval in seconds. You can also define the named range yourself using MS Excel.
