The SST function block calculates the steam enthalpy, entropy, specific volume, and pressure for saturation conditions specified by a given temperature. The block calculations apply to saturated steam. The calculation is limited to a temperature range of 32°F to 705.103°F (0 to 373.946°C).
The block calculations are based on The International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS) Revised Release on the IAPWS Industrial Formulation 1997 for the Thermodynamic Properties of Water and Steam.
The ranges of valid block input values mentioned in this section are guidelines, not absolute limits. If your inputs are outside the guidelines, the values are limited for the calculation to the boundary of the IF97 region, the block status is set to Bad, and the limits are set appropriately.
