Before initiating a download, be sure to download all modules with blocks running in fieldbus devices otherwise the port will fail to download and the scheduled communications on the fieldbus may remain suspended. To turn scheduled communications on, download the port from the DeltaV Explorer.
Once you have selected the ports and devices to download, select the Express Download check box and click the Download button on the Express Fieldbus Download dialog. Once you confirm the informational message about express download, the Confirm Partial Download dialog opens and you can verify the configuration if desired. The Express Download option is grayed and checked indicating that an express download will be performed when the Yes button is clicked. In other words, the scheduled communications on the fieldbus are disabled allowing for a faster download time and the selected ports, devices, device alarms, and function blocks are downloaded.
