Securing the HART-IP communications through the Wireless I/O Card (WIOC)
occurs through limiting access and therefore preventing access to the device
data from unauthorized sources. This is accomplished the following ways:
- HART-IP communications is disabled by default when the WIOC is
created. You must explicitly enable it.
- A user-created access control list (a whitelist of trusted nodes) to
prevent untrusted nodes from communicating.
- Changing the default HART-IP port. Choose from 5094, 20004, or 20005.
Using DeltaV Explorer, you secure the HART-IP communications on the
WIOC's properties dialog's
HART-IP page.
