  3. Ensure that DeltaV Diagnostics shows that the standby CIOC is present and available for switchover.
  4. Replace the current standby CIOC with the new model standby CIOC.
  5. Use the DeltaV Controller and I/O Upgrade Utility to upgrade the CIOC to the correct version of the DeltaV software.
  6. Wait for the migrated standby CIOC to become reconfigured and its LED to go to steady.
  7. Ensure that DeltaV Diagnostics shows no Bad Integrity on the current active CIOC's redundancy subsystem and on the standby CIOC.
  8. Ensure that DeltaV Diagnostics shows that the standby CIOC is present and available for switchover.
  9. Manually initiate a CIOC switchover from DeltaV Diagnostics. The newly replaced standby CIOC becomes the new active CIOC.

  11. Use the DeltaV Controller and I/O Upgrade Utility to upgrade the new CIOC to the correct version of the DeltaV software.
  12. Launch DeltaV Explorer and ensure that the controller model displayed within controller properties have updated to the correct model for both cards. If the cards' models in DeltaV Explorer have not updated then download the Setup Data for the CIOC.
