OPC UA security > Implementing security for a DeltaV OPC UA server

Generate a self-signed server certificate and assign it to the server

  1. Select the OPC UA Server in the DeltaV Explorer hierarchy.
  2. Right-click Properties.
  3. Click the Certificate tab.
  4. Click Generate.
    The software generates a self-signed certificate and assigns it to the server.
  5. Download the OPC UA server to transfer the certificate to the controller.
