OPC UA security > Implementing security for a DeltaV OPC UA client

Generate a self-signed client certificate and assign it to the client

  1. Select the OPC UA Client in the DeltaV Explorer hierarchy.
  2. Right-click Properties.
  3. Click the Certificate tab.
  4. Click Generate.
    The software generates a self-signed certificate and assigns it to the client.
