Import a self-signed server certificate to the client physical device

  1. Select the client physical device (PDT) from the DeltaV Explorer hierarchy.
  2. Right-click Properties.
  3. Click the Primary tab (or Secondary tab for a redundant client).
  4. Click Import. This is the file you exported from the server and saved to DVData\Import-Export.
  5. Browse to the certificate file. These files have a .cer or .der extension.
  6. Click the certificate file and then click Open.
    The software displays the name, valid dates and thumbprint of the certificate on the Primary or Secondary tab.
