Another security consideration not covered by other topics in this help is what happens on an operator workstation when a user logs off of the DeltaV system or the session times out. For dedicated operator workstations the desired behavior is probably to close the session when it is not being used but continue to have alarms visible at the workstation. The needs of engineering workstations and remote sessions are different and are not covered here.

Use DeltaVScreenSaver to automatically log on a different user after an idle time-out or the current DeltaV user logs off. You can set up the account being automatically logged on such that it can see the alarms for areas assigned to the workstation, but it cannot change anything in the system.
