Bulk edit SIS modules

The steps required to bulk editing SIS modules are similar to those for other types of modules. The major differences are that SIS module format specification files are based on the SIS_Module Object type and that SIS modules you edit must be based on SIS module templates.

SIS modules can be contained objects in a complex module hierarchy. The procedure required to bulk edit such hierarchies is similar to that for non-SIS modules.

The general procedure to bulk edit SIS modules is:

  1. Create or select an SIS module to bulk edit.
  2. If the SIS module is not based on a template, create a template from the module. Make sure the SubType field in the module and template properties dialog are the same.
  3. Create a format specification file for the module using the SIS_Module object type and specifying the correct module template as the Subtype.
  4. Export the SIS module.
  5. Copy and edit the exported module as required.
  6. Import the edited data.
