You must create an OPCServer object before you can get references to other objects. If there is a need to connect to more than one DeltaV system, you may have more than one OPCServer object with its own OPCGroup and OPCItem objects. The figures below illustrate the structure of an OPCServer object as defined by the OPC specifications:
