Equipment bindings can be changed or added after the batch has started
but before the step with the binding to be changed has executed.
To select equipment after the batch is running, the batch must be put
into MANUAL mode.
With the batch in Manual mode, click the
Select Equipment button on the Commands button
bar. The
Select Equipment dialog displays.
Note
If the User ID Verification function is enabled for adding a
batch, the
Change User button is available in the
Select Equipment dialog. You can temporarily
change the user who will be performing the function. Any security checks (area
privileges, and so on) are performed on the changed user.
For each step that has not executed, you can change the bound unit
information from the list. If there is a unit alias associated with the step,
the step is bound to the unit alias by default. The equipment is selected by
resolving the alias.
Note
If no units are available in the list, contact a supervisor.
Possible causes: you may not have the correct privileges for the areas assigned
to this Batch Executive; or, there are no units of the required unit class are
assigned to this Batch Executive.
If necessary, change any parameter values as needed (for example,
due to differences in the units).
Click
Update to record the new unit bindings. Click
Cancel to exit the dialog without changes.
