Generate a model

  1. In the trend graph, drag the left and right green bars over the data that you want to use to create the model. (You can exclude a portion of the data within the green area.
    Note

Another way to select the data to create the model is to right-click, and then select the Place Left Green Bar and Place Right Green Bar commands.

  2. Click Autogenerate.
    Note

Be sure that the module containing the Neural function block is not open in Control Studio when you click Autogenerate because the block is updated during autogeneration.

The application reads the selected data, performs a sensitivity analysis, and trains the network.

In Expert mode, the Sensitivity Analysis button is available. Click this button to perform only a sensitivity analysis on the selected data. You can then edit the analyses and train the network.

You can also create a model from data stored in a valid NN data file format.

To use a data file, from the File menu select Autogenerate from file (or Sensitivity Analysis from file if you are an expert user), then browse to the desired data file.

  3. Acknowledge the pop-up that appears when training is complete.

The application updates the DeltaV database.

  4. Acknowledge the pop-up that says to download the module.

The sensitivity analysis appears. Double-click a sensitivity analysis in the matrix for a more detailed view. If you want to edit the sensitivity analyses you must be an expert user (select Options → Expert), then rerun the sensitivity analysis.

  5. Download the model to the controller to put the model online.
