You must first set up and run the test and then select the data that
you want to use to create the model.
In the trend graph, drag the left and right green bars over the
data that you want to use to create the model. You can exclude a portion of the
data within the green area.
Another way to select the data that is used to create the model is
to right-click, and then select the
Place Left Green Bar and
Place Right Green Bar commands.
You can also create a model from data stored in a valid MPC data
file format. To use a data file, select
File → Autogenerate
From File and then browse to the desired data file.
Select any integrating control or constraint parameters.
For the MPCPro block, click
Autogenerate.
A model and control is created from the selected data and
the model is automatically assigned to the block.
Note
Be sure that the module containing the MPCPro function block is
not open in Control Studio when you click
Autogenerate because the block is updated
during autogeneration.
For the MPCPlus block, click
Create Model and then assign the model using
the
Assign context menu command or the
Assign button.
Download the controller to put the model online.
The model matrix showing all step responses for the model is
displayed. Double-click a response in the matrix for a more detailed view. If
you want to edit a response, drill down to the response that you wish to edit.
You must be an expert user to edit a response.
In Expert mode, the
Create Model button is available. Click this
button to automatically create and display a model only from the selected data.
The model is not assigned to the block and no control is generated. If you are
using file data, select
File → Create Model from
File.
