The OPC tab of the Set Default Data Servers dialog shows the node name and connection status for the OPC Server data connection.
OPC is an acronym for: Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) for Process Control. OPC is the standard for distributing real-time information from process control systems to the plant and office environment.
The node name of the OPC Server data connection appears in the Realtime Data Server field. This is always the localhost.
The status of the connection to the OPC server appears in the Connection Status field.
