When the wireless Reconcile I/O dialog opens, WirelessHART devices are autosensed and assigned to user-configured channels that match their Manufacturer, Type, and Device ID channel property values.
It is not functionally relevant that the Revision value reported by DeltaV and a device match. Therefore, the autosensing logic used by the wireless Reconcile I/O dialog does not identify a mismatch between these channel property values as a conflict.
To inspect the autosensed properties for a WirelessHART device, click the plus button in the Channel Name column of the wireless Reconcile I/O dialog. Channel names in the wireless Reconcile I/O dialog appear in white, blue, or red, which indicates the following:
WHITE (OK) — Autosensing
discovered no mismatches between the values reported by DeltaV and the device
for any channel property. No reconciliation is necessary.
BLUE (Review) — Autosensing
discovered one or more of the following mismatch scenarios:
For the Manufacturer, Type, or Revision channel property, DeltaV either reports no value or reports a different value than is reported by the device. These values cannot be changed and the mismatch will be resolved in favor of the device when you click OK to close the wireless Reconcile I/O dialog.
For the Tag, Description, or Long Tag (if supported by the HART device) channel property, one of either DeltaV or the device reports no value. These mismatches will be resolved in favor of the reported value, unless you select the other check box (even if you do not specify a value for the channel property that was not reported).
RED (Action needed) — Autosensing
discovered one or more mismatch between the value reported by DeltaV and the
device for the Tag, Description, or Long Tag channel property. After you
resolve a value conflict for a channel property by selecting its check box, its
name turns blue until you click
OK to close the wireless
Reconcile I/O dialog. Otherwise, if you elect to
not resolve a specific value conflict before clicking
OK, the mismatch will persist.
In the wireless Reconcile I/O dialog, check boxes appear at the top of both the DeltaV and Device column, as well as next to each user-configurable property value. User-configurable properties in the DeltaV column can also be edited directly. Use any of the following methods to reconcile mismatched properties in the wireless Reconcile I/O dialog:
Edit a property value directly in the DeltaV column to automatically select the value you entered for reconciliation. (To undo a manually-entered change, clear the check box.)
Select the check box for an individual property value in either the DeltaV or Device column.
Select the check box at the top of the DeltaV or Device column. This enables all property values in the selected column except those that are unassigned.
A channel parameter value may appear in red to indicate an issue involving its compliance with DeltaV or HART naming conventions, as follows:
If the value reported by autosensing for a Tag, Description, or Long Tag (if supported by the HART device) channel property appears in red in the Device column, this indicates that it does not comply with DeltaV naming conventions.
Conversely, if the value reported by autosensing for one of these channel properties appears in red in the DeltaV column, this indicates that it does not comply with HART naming conventions.
Similarly, if you manually enter or change a property value in the DeltaV column, but it does not comply with both DeltaV and HART naming conventions, it also appears in red.
